Tips for Perfect Pie Crust

Does making perfect pie crust seem impossible?

It doesn't have  to be a struggle! Follow these simple  tips for a flaky,  buttery crust!

1) Use vodka! It's the secret ingredient for getting a light and flaky crust.

2) Use a scale or scoop your flour with a spoon so you have an accurate measurement.

3) Don't overwork the dough. Use the "pulse" feature on your food processor to blend it just enough.

4) Make sure all of your ingredients, including the vodka and water, are cold.

5) Refrigerate the dough for 2 hours. Once again, you want it cooooold!

6) Roll the dough on parchment paper (with flour) to prevent sticking.

7) Place your pie plate upside down over the rolled pie dough, then use the parchment to flip the dough into the pan.

8) Freeze the dough in your pie plate for 10 minutes before baking.

9) Use pie weights to keep the crust from puffing up or shrinking.
