Simple Ingredients

1. Sauté the onion, peppers, and garlic with the spices until it's aromatic.

2. Mix and stir in the beans and broth to the sofrito. Then add the bay leaf.

3. Bring the mixture to a boil. Then, lower the heat and let it simmer.

4. Once ready, remove the lid and bay leaf, then stir in the red wine vinegar.

Recipe Variations

– Use additional canned beans and form them into a paste and stir it in with the rest of the ingredients.  – Add cooked crispy bacon around 5 strips. – Add cayenne pepper or jalapeno pepper.
