Easy - This recipe is so easy and quick to make! No eggs - It uses cornstarch to thicken the vanilla custard so there are no eggs needed! Cinnamon sugar topping - It is caramelized on top of the creamy filling and makes a really delicious pie!

Simple Ingredients

1. Whisk and mix the sugar and cornstarch.

2. Bring the butter and whipping cream to a boil and stir it continuously.

3. Stir in the vanilla extract to the cooked custard.

4. Pour the filling into the fully-baked crust that has cooled completely.

5. Mix the cinnamon and sugar. Then, melt some butter and pour it over the custard.

6. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the butter and broil the pie. 

Recipe Tips

Stir the custard continuously as it cooks in order to prevent it from burning. – Set a one-minute timer as soon as the custard begins to boil. – Place a pie shield over the crust before broiling.
