Simple Ingredients

1. Combine and mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.

2. Cut the butter and add it to the flour mixture.

3. Mix the butter and flour mixture using a pastry cutter until it is well-incorporated.

4. Prepare, wash, peel and slice the apples.

5. Caramelize the apple filling and stir until the apples are evenly coated.

6.Sprinkle the toppings evenly over the apples and bake for about 30 minutes.

Recipe Variations

– Stir 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans into the oat mixture before sprinkling over the apples. – For a gluten-free crisp you can substitute almond flour or 1:1 gluten-free flour. – Try your 6 cups of your favorite fruit mixture in place of the apples!
