    When the weather outside is chilly and gloomy, there is nothing better than a steamy cup of soup! Here we have 12 comforting soups that will bring joy to your day, and fill your stomach with warmth.

    There are so many wonderful things about soup. Of course, eating a bowl of piping hot soup brings comfort. But soup is usually fairly economical, which is nice for the wallet after an indulgent Christmas. Plus, many soups can be made ahead, and are even better the next day. So soup is the perfect thing to add to the menu on days when you have a lot to accomplish!

    When my extended family gets together for Christmas every year we celebrate with different themed nights. One of my favorites is our "Soup and Pie" night. Everyone brings a pot of soup and a pie!
